The cobblers used to prepare leather footwear by chain stitch and decorate them with chain-stitch needlework which gradually evolved into the distinct form of Mochi Bharat embroidery. Over time, people became increasingly fascinated by Mochi Bharat, appreciating its intricate craftsmanship and traditional beauty. What was once a cherished form of Indian textile art gradually gained wider recognition and became a celebrated art form. Today, Mochi Bharat has found a new place in contemporary interiors, beautifully transformed into wall décor and statement pieces, bringing together India’s rich artistic heritage and modern aesthetics.
